Learn to Teach Yoga in Alignment with Astrology

Moon Qi is a Vinyasa-based movement system that aligns the physical asana practice with the with the Moon’s cycles and the energetic patterns of the sky.

This training is an amazing way to deepen your yoga practice, learn Astrology and build confidence and leadership on and off the mat.

This is a 200-hour program is registered with Yoga Alliance.

Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll receive a 200-hour certificate.

What Is Moon Qi Yoga?

Moon Qi Yoga is a vinyasa-based movement system that aligns physical asana practice with the Moon and its astrological transits. Each class is designed to reflect the energetic tone of the sky, allowing the body, breath, and mind to move in rhythm with natural cosmic cycles.

The Moon changes signs approximately every two and a half days, and with each shift, the collective energy changes.

The Moon rules our subconscious, emotions, and instinctual body, shaping how we feel, process, and respond to the world around us. Moon Qi Yoga works in alignment with the Moon’s influence, offering a practice that supports the body and nervous system by moving with the energy rather than against it.

Classes are structured through the four elements: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water, with each element informing the sequencing, pace, and intention of the practice:

Fire cultivates heat, courage, and activation.

Earth builds stability, strength, and grounding.

Air supports clarity, curiosity, and perspective.

Water invites fluidity, emotional release, and intuitive awareness.

Moon Qi Yoga also works seasonally with the Sun’s journey through the zodiac. Each astrological season carries a central theme, which is explored through the four elemental classes across the month. This layered structure allows practitioners to experience both the short-term influence of the Moon’s daily transits and the deeper developmental arc of the season, supporting sustained growth and integration over time.

Rosannah

Lead Teacher 

Rosannah is the creator of Moon Qi Yoga. She has trained in Cape Town, Los Angeles, London, and Bali, and has been teaching yoga for 12 years. As a professional astrologer with 5 years of experience, Rosannah weaves the wisdom of the stars into every aspect of her teaching, helping students move in alignment with their personal and cosmic rhythms.

Her teaching style is deeply informed by astrology, body awareness, and the mind-body connection, guiding students to flow safely, cultivate emotional and energetic attunement, and step confidently into their practice. Through Moon Qi Yoga, she empowers students to not only strengthen their bodies but also deepen their understanding of themselves and the cycles that influence their energy, decisions, and growth.

Assistant Teacher 

Tryphena

Tryphena is a dedicated scholar and teacher of yoga philosophy, bringing a rich understanding of the ancient texts, wisdom traditions, and contemporary applications of yogic thought. She has spent years studying classical yoga philosophy, including the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Vedantic principles, and integrates this knowledge into accessible, embodied teaching for modern practitioners.

Her classes explore the mind, consciousness, and the ethical foundations of yoga, helping students connect theory to practice and deepen their inner awareness. Tryphena’s teaching is grounded, thoughtful, and nurturing, encouraging students to reflect, question, and integrate philosophical insights into their daily lives and movement practice.

Training details

Class size: 15 to 30 students.

Level: Beginner to intermediate.

Age range: 18 to 60+ years old.

Prerequisites: You should have at least 20 hours of recent yoga practice

Language: Course is in English.

(Most students are not native English speakers, so don't be nervous).

  • Learn the fundamentals of human anatomy and physiology to teach safely and effectively. Explore how the body moves, aligns, and functions, and apply this knowledge directly to Moon Qi Yoga sequencing and practice.
